MONDAY MOURNING

Green is still our color....

But we wore black today. We need at least a week. To mourn, to cry, to pick up the pieces of the flat screen tv that got thrown off our deck.

Next week....we will be gearing up to wear watermelons again.

Cant talk....mourning.

first road trip!!

Our first hockey road trip with R-dogs team was soooo much fun.

Had great shopping, good food, wonderful friends to share copius amounts of drinks with!!

There are stories of pink panties x 3...hopefully no pictures emerge.

There are stories of a crazy fighting woman....hopefully she doesnt track anyone down. (can you say psycho princess?)

There may be some dirty joke stories....and some dirty text messages....hopefully none of those are kept.

There are stories of a power outage cause by the military ....hopefully no conspiracy stories arrise.

And, oh yes, there was some hockey.

We won 3, lost 1. Too bad the loss was in the A- final and it was a heartbreaker....

Good times had by all ...or most...or well...I had a good time with more to come!!

out of the fog...

I think the flu bug has left the house...now hopefully I can update you more frequently.

After two big wins last weekend (both at home)...Retzkys team is travelling to a tourney in Wainwright this weekend. He is heading there tonight with friends, I will meet up with him tomorrow morning ....and then its just the two of us all weekend. We'll see who survives.

C-man will be home with dad and Grandma golfer...(thanks!!) as who the heck knows really when DH will be called to work. C-man has two in town games to play.

I am hoping to be home in time for the Grey Cup....and if not....I'm sure the celebrations will be happening and I can join in later!!

Go Green Go!!

goshdarnitfreakinfrakin

Ok..I will be the first to admit it. I have a trucker mouth. I have tried to tone it down, but to no avail. Now...i have an excuse not to.

Researchers i nBritain have found that swearing can increase your tolerance for discomfort. Yes, I only swear when I am in discomfort, faaaccckk.

Swearing, apparently prompts a series of physical and hormonal reactions that ease the sting of an injury.

Or...crappy days, bad drivers, smelly people, you name it.

faaaaaccccckkkkk

Or...when your kids have been sick

faaaaacccccckkkkkkk

or, when you are sick

ffaaaaaccccccccckkkkkk

ok...starting to feel better now. thanks fackers

hockey

Sorry...not much for hockey updates.

C-man had to miss both games last weekend because he was sick.

R-dog played in Wilkie on saturday where they won 9-3, then came back to town and got bag skated cause coach wasnt too impressed with their play.

Then we travelled to the city on weds for a game - only for DH to get called to work and we had to rush home.

They lost that game in OT...but I think we could beat them. Frustrating game...Retzky got 3 goals (DH and I only counted two...but let him think 3, i guess?) but they were the two that tied us up in the last 5 minutes of play.

Tomorrow we are headed to Waldheim for a one day tourney for R-dogs team, then C is back in town and going to try his hardest to play.

ive fallen and cant get up...

Somewhere between C-man falling ill (freakin ill) and all the runnings around, I have found myself sick as well.....crap!

I had one day (i think it was tuesday) where I slept all day long, after what felt like I was hit by a Mac truck. damn you.

Now, lingering for the both of us is a nasty cough and sore throat. My voice is now about an octave lower and quite seductive...trust me....growlly. ok i've now completely lost it.

We ended up in emerg last night (me and both boys...dont ask) from midnight until approx 2am. C-man had excrutiating pain in his ear and I couldnt take the screaming anymore. None of my attempts did anything. Found out that it was an ear infection, but it wouldnt drain out. There was fluid and blood sitting on his ear drum causing a lot of pain.

After some drugs and more drugs he was finally able to sleep.

We let the boys sleep in this morning and miss the first part of school....only to be called back again to pick up C again. His ear finally started draining (thank goodness) and the teacher couldnt take it anymore...it was pretty gross...

have to get better soon...so tonight is the last night...heading to bed now.

YAHOOOOOO

Gotta love the Riders win....1st place!! Wow...could barely watch the third quarter (again!)..but we did. DH will be sad he missed Szarkas big run....it was something.

Even sicky lifted his head once in awhile. Yep, C-man is still down and out. literrally. This morning started out with getting sick, then into fever, really sore throat and now has no voice. He had two naps today (for a total of 3 hours) and two baths (for about the same).

After R-dog got home from his game (they won!!! 9-3) and his two hour practise, they were both wiped and are now in bed.

DH is off to his Alumni game in Kenaston....wish I was there....miss it alot....but I am sure he will manage to have a tiny bit of fun without me....hardy har.

Tomorrow I resume my bleach/lysol/total dysenfecting of the basement. (finished the upstairs late today).

tis and tat

Hey Linds...I think I forgot to write about R-dogs head injury. Basically he fought with the door, and the door won.

He tripped over his brothers hockey bag, while the other-C opened the door. Had a little cut that was wide...so had to get three stitches. He thinks it was pretty cool...and cant wait to get stitches again....weird.

Last night was his last birthday. Thats right. He is going to be 10 forever. Pretty cool that we get to miss the dreaded teenage years.

His last "official" party was last night. Nothing like 12 wrestling, screaming boys to put a screeching halt to the parties. From now on. One friend ...maybe sleepover...depends on who he invites...heehee

Happy birthday!!!

Wow. Wow. Wow.

I know it seems like everyone says "where does the time go?". I know a lot of us start wishing time away.

You know...like I cant wait until you can talk, or cant wait until you can walk, or go to school,

Its been 10 short years and I dont want to wish any more time away. As much as he knows how to push my buttons, he has grown into a great little man.

This age/stage has been the best so far. He is incredibly caring... Funny. Intelligent....and loveable.

Happy birthday R-dog!! 10. yeesh.

costumes

Pretty lame...I really try super hard (yeah, right). About fifteen nano seconds of thought goes out to the costumes. But I did spend a lot of time painting their faces.
C-man wanted to be a rock star...and the gold metallic stretch pants that he has grown overly attached to are now in hiding. I seriously cant believe women wear these things for real....
R was a boxer...he had gloves, missing tooth, black eye...but most importantly his bath robe which he had to use to keep warm....twas a little chilly, wet and windy.
Aaaahhh nothing like begging for candy in bad weather. Thank goodness for friends and copius amounts of alcohol. (we had 2 trick or treaters...one at 4:30, the other at 7)

Halloween shots

C-man refused to touch the pumpkins "guts"...too gross for him....but not his brother!!

Can you see the size of the k k knife???

Oh yes...had to show a pic of the stitches....DH took them out tonight with a pair of nail clippers and tweezers....R-dog thought that was pretty cool.

hockey talk by my 7 year old...

Couple of tidbits...C-man has seemed to be spewing a few more trash talks than normal lately...and we are finding them a bit funny...no a lot funny.

here they are:

While talking to his (also 7 year old) buddy, just before heading out on to the ice for a game. "Hey Jake...keep your head up out there!" (jake comes up to chases waist....) heehee

As the boys were approaching the rink for his first game he turns to his dad, sniffs the air and says "I can smell the enemy!"

Welcome

Hello! Welcome to our diary. Little snippets from our day ....here in Southtown. Enjoy.
